2020 GALA EVENT

Catch the highlights, you won't be disappointed.

Dance to the music with African drums, meet Louis, and hear his story.

Twenty-six years ago, the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi tore Rwanda apart, creating a "lost generation" of youth. Remarkably, in its aftermath the nation created a neighborhood court system that processed nearly a million perpetrators with the aim of both justice and forgiveness. Rwanda’s progress is miraculous, yet the cycle of poverty threatens the safely and future of a generation of youth. Today, Rwanda Rise is helping a lost generation learn a specialized trade, such as welding, culinary arts, sewing, masonry, and hairstyling, in addition to entrepreneurship.

Rwanda Rise's training center is in the epicenter of Africa’s most remarkable turnaround story.

THE STORY OF RWANDA RISE STARTED WITH COMPASSION.

Rwanda Rise came into existence because of one man's passion and vision to rescue the orphans and widows of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Hear Louis recount the story of one little boy whose life was forever changed by the work of Emmanuel Sitaki and Rwanda Rise.
