You can equip a young person in Rwanda to create income and jobs in the areas of:
Rwanda is healing from the evil of the Genocide Against the Tutsi. But thousands of young people, most of whom have lost family, are suffering under the heavy weight of poverty. Unless they break free from the cycle of poverty, they are at risk of hunger and disease.
The next generation, often called the “lost generation” is the future of Rwanda. Unless they are trained and equipped, they may become vulnerable to the same forces that caused the Genocide of 1994.
These young people want to hard work to provide for themselves and their families. However, they live on less than $2 per day and are not able to attend University. They need vocational training and mentoring to make their dreams reality.
Through Rwanda Rise and Hope Vocational Training Center, you can provide training to one young Rwandan in carpentry, culinary arts, hairdressing, masonry, sewing, and welding. These trade skills open doors to jobs, new businesses and provide hope for the future. 90% of our graduates find gainful employment in their field of study. For only a small investment, these students will reap benefits for years to come.
All that stands between a struggling Rwandan and a promising career is the cost of tuition for one year of training. For only $720 (or $60 per month) you can sponsor a student’s entire education and change the trajectory of his or her life.
A donation of $100 will provide supplies needed for a student's vocational training. Examples include fabric, hair products, lumber, groceries, masonry, and welding materials.
A donation of $250 provides small equipment for vocational training. Examples include sewing machines, hair mannequins & dryers, carpentry tools, and small kitchen appliances for the culinary center.
With a minimal investment, supporters of Rwanda Rise can help transform the life of a young man or woman -- from poverty to a new pathway of health and hope.
In only one year, young men and women are equipped with vocational skills that provide confidence, sustainable income and the motivation to start new businesses, which employ others and stimulate economic growth in their communities.
Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, we serve all students, no matter their religion, ethnicity, or gender.
In addition to job skills, students are mentored in life skills through a values-based curriculum. In this way, students are prepared to succeed across all of life’s challenges.
A small financial investment can transform the life of a young person in Rwanda. The return on investment is a lifetime of income and the restoration of hope for a young person and their community.
